Greetings! I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist who works within a client-centered, systemic and humanistic approach to support my client’s growth. In my experience, change is nurtured through building individual capacity and skills, while also addressing the systemic barriers to change. I have an irreverent and humor-based style that works well for clients who like an animated therapist.
I grew up on the East Coast and got my Bachelor’s in Sculpture before coming out West, mostly for the weather. I then went on to get my Master’s in Counseling Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California, and worked in a variety of settings, such as transitional housing for youth, a residential facility, and an outpatient community clinic.
My experience includes:
—Providing Individual and Family therapy to children age 3-17 and adults in an educational setting.
—Working with families and couples in a variety of settings.
—Supporting gender-expansive people to access medical care and a deeper understanding of self.
—Facilitating groups to support LGBTQ+ people in school and work settings, as well as DBT skills groups.
—Providing therapeutic services for people with developmental differences such as Autism, ADHD, among other diagnoses.
Additionally, I utilize somatic experiencing, narrative and play-based therapy, collaborative problem solving, and DBT to support clients in the process of change.
I am excited to continue to support individuals and family systems across the age span.
